Africa Ache? For those who would like to be bewitched by amazing sunsets, be infected by the magic of the bush, discover nature, culture and solidarity. Silence, the sound of the wind among the trees, the sensation that you can touch all the stars while some Maasai dance around a fire illuminating their faces….
With the cooperation of the Association Sesto Sole, a young Maasai woman in charge of the village has made it possible to dug a well, build a medical dispensary, organize scholarships and supply food. Now she has created the opportunity of economic support for the families, building a tourist village which is tightly bound to traditions.
The pleasure of being hosted in a real Maasai hut, built with easily available materials (wooden poles, mud, sticks and grass) is a unique and original accomodation for all visitors who wish to support the touristic and environmentally-friendly system of this community. The emotion of this trip is combined with the exploration of splendid territories where one of the most ancient people lives: the Maasai.

Milano – Nairobi - Day 1



Departure in the morning from Milan Malpensa for Nairobi, arrival during the evening at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi. Our drivers and Maasai warriors will be there to pick us up. Accomodation and dinner in a Nairobi hotel.

Departure for lake Nakuro - Day 2
After breakfast, departure for the town of Nakuru in the Rift Valley, visit to the Menengai crater, setting up a tent camp where we will spend the night.

Nakuru Park - Day 3



After breakfast, a whole-day tour at the Lake Nakuru National Park to watch the animals, packed lunch. Park characteristics: prairie with hills and alkaline lake; flamingos, black rhinos, lions, warthogs, over 400 bird species.

Departure for Merrueshi - Day 4



Breakfast and departure for the traditional Maasai village in Merrueshi, lunch on the way, arrival at the village. Accomodation in the huts.

Walking tour in the bush – Day 5



An unforgettable experience starting at sunrise. We will discover nature; a first look at the wide bushland, an immense space. Spotting the intrigued glance of the animals will make us breathless. We will be with the Maasai warriors who will teach us which herbs they use for their medicines and how to light a fire. After the walking tour, we will use cars to follow a track leading to the river bed, where water is collected both for the village people and for the animals. We will have lunch near an ancient crater enjoying a fantastic panorama. According to our schedule, we will return to the village around 6 pm, just in time to get ready for dinner.

Day-trip to Emali and to the completed and ongoiung humanitary projects - Day 6



After breakfast, we will leave to visit the most important cattle market of the region in the town of Emali, an important reference point for local people for all their needs. After having seen the cattle market, we will see the typical town market in the town centre where all kinds of products are on sale (even some European products).

Lunch and visit to the dispensary and the school. Then, visit to the water well, made in 2006. You will see with your eyes the projects that our association is carrying forward and how important they are for this community – and not only for this one, considering that many patients walk many kilometers to be taken care of in our dispensary..

Amboseli Park – Day 7



After breakfast, departure for the Amboseli Park. A whole day to discover the marvels it offers to its visitors. You will have the opportunity to live an incredible experience, leaving at sunrise, spending the whole day in the natural habitat of leopards, lions, cheetahs, elephants, buffalos, antelopes, gazelles, zebras and giraffes that live on these dry plains with some woods and shrubs. Packed lunch on the top of a hill, back home to our huts at sunset, knowing that, in the evening, we will breath fresh, clean air and enjoy a wonderful, starry sky that seems so close that you can touch it.

Visit to the Maasai communities on the mountains - Day 8



After breakfast, departure for the last trip in the Maasai territory, to a mountain where we will meet some traditional Maasai huts and their animals. This is the place where we can watch the Maasai look after their cows and goats, how they milk and brand them, and discover other Maasai secrets. Packed lunch. After a walk on the roof of the bush, we will return to our village to get ready for next day’s departure .

Departure for Nairobi for those who will return to Italy – Day 9 and 10



We will leave early in the morning, around 7 am. The day is dedicated to the city of Nairobi. We will visit the Sheldrick David Animal Orphanage, a paradise for orphan elephants and a centre which contributes to the preservation of wildlife. After lunch we will have the opportunity to visit the Giraffe Centre where it is possible to have a close look at the giraffes and feed them from our hands. Afterwards, tour in Nairobi, dinner and departure for the airport where we will check in on a night flight, to land in Italy the morning after.

Departure for the Savo Park reserve, for those who continue the tour – day 9



Breakfast and departure; arrival after approx. 4 hours by car, lunch and tour in the reserve, dinner and overnight stay.

Tour in the wildlife reserve and arrival at the coast – day 10

Early in the morning, tour in the reserve, lunch and departure for the coast, which we will reach after approx. 5 hours, accommodation in the respective rooms.

Departure with a national flight for Nairobi, where we will check in on a connecting night flight to Italy, where we will land the morning after.
